Discover Your
Rooted Self
Welcome to The Rooted Self.
I believe meaningful growth begins by understanding who you are at your core. The Rooted Self was created from the belief that lasting change happens when we take the time to explore not only the challenges you're facing, but also the deeper experiences, patterns, strengths, and values that make you who you are.
I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University New England in 2012. Since then, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of individuals including; children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in a variety of settings. These experiences have provided me with a broad understanding of the unique challenges people face across different stages of life and circumstances.
While I work with a variety of concerns, I have extensive experience supporting individuals struggling with OCD, anxiety, self-esteem and confidence issues, life transitions, trauma, relationship concerns, and couples counseling. I also enjoy working with children and families to help strengthen communication, emotional regulation, and connection.
As an EMDRIA-trained EMDR therapist, I integrate evidence-based approaches with a warm, humanistic style that meets clients where they are. I recognize that no two people are alike, which is why I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities and tailor treatment to each individual's unique needs. When appropriate, I enjoy incorporating movement and experiential approaches into therapy, recognizing the important connection between mind and body.
My work extends beyond symptom reduction alone. I strive to understand the whole person, including sleep patterns, nutrition, exercise habits, relationships, life experiences, and personal values, because these areas often play a significant role in emotional well-being. Together, we will explore not only what is happening in your life today, but also the roots of those experiences and how they continue to shape you.
At the heart of my practice is a commitment to helping clients better understand themselves, develop greater confidence, strengthen their sense of identity, and build lives that feel authentic and meaningful. Whether you are seeking support for anxiety, OCD, relationship challenges, trauma, questions about identity, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, my goal is to provide a safe, compassionate, and collaborative space where you feel seen, understood, and supported.
I look forward to helping you reconnect with your roots, discover your strengths, and move toward lasting growth and healing.
